Although never married, Ministry Support Secretary Judy Baer enjoys being an adopted “Nana” to her young neighbor. Born and raised in Harrisonburg, she’s had a variety of work experience — from working at the Harrisonburg Pregnancy Center to managing a restaurant — before coming to work full-time at CPC in 1996. On a volunteer basis, she has enjoyed being part of several ministries at Cov over the years: WIC (Women’s Ministries), Mercy Ministry, Angel Tree, and lay counseling.
She’s also been part of short-term mission trips to England (Elam Ministries), Kenya (4 times!) and teaching English in East Asia. Judy has attended Covenant since the “early days” meeting at the Sheraton and became a member in 1991. She loves gardening, card making, and reading. Covenant is privileged to have such a faithful staff member serving the body of Christ in many capacities for many years.
