Who We Are

Covenant Presbyterian Church is located on the outskirts of Harrisonburg, VA in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley. Since 1984 Covenant Presbyterian has sought to be faithful to the mission of “Equipping Disciples for Kingdom Growth.”

There is a broad range of people who call Covenant home: Married and single, families with children, college students, young adults and seniors. Although English is our primary language our church includes a Spanish speaking congregation (Alianza).

When You Arrive

There are several visitor spots and  handicap spaces in the parking rows closest to the building.

If you have children with you consider parking to the left of the main entrance near our children’s wing. . If you plan on using the nursery, children’s church, and/or children’s Sunday school we ask that you sign your child in using one of our check-in stations located in the children’s wing and by the nursery. For the Family

Children:

Our Children’s Ministries assist parents to nurture in children a love of Jesus Christ, a deep reliance on the gospel of grace, and a life of joyful worship and witness.

Recognizing that the family is the first place of training up the next generation, we desire to come alongside the family, as part of the bigger family of God to love, train, and encourage all of our kids that they might call on the Lord for salvation and then become fishers of men. This area includes all children from birth – 5th grade.

Youth:

The CPC Youth Ministry invests in the spiritual formation of students by challenging them to dig deep into God’s word, develop meaningful relationships, grow to love God and their neighbors, and have lots of fun. It’s our desire to provide a safe environment for students to ask hard questions, struggle and grow in grace, and experience the love of Christ.  CPC Youth Ministry seeks to be a resource and support for parents and guardians as they raise their students, grades 6-12.

Adults:

Our desire for every adult that comes to Covenant is that they may know the gospel of Jesus Christ and be able to give a reason for the hope that they have. We hope to equip you in the faith through resources like Sunday school classes,  Home Groups, and men’s and women’s groups .
